I received my new case today and changed all the components. Later I realized the power switch cable was missing somewhere. I tried plugging it into the metx_reset, which worked but gave no signal. I figured that was the problem. I put everything back into its original case, and it booted fine but still showed no signal. Then I swapped in another GPU, but no improvement. During the check, I saw two resistors or capacitors possibly dislodged. Is my GPU or motherboard damaged?

Hi, I see the issue. The item was damaged upon arrival and requires an RMA. I’m not sure what caused it, and it might not be covered due to potential physical damage.

Yes, it's possible your GPU could have been damaged due to the broken capacitor.

Your GPU is protected by a heat sink and backplate unless it’s extremely old, which means you’ll need to use force if you want it to work. Pulling components off your motherboard is something that requires a unique skill, so this should be handled by someone experienced. You’ll likely need a replacement motherboard.
