I reassembled a custom build today using a Lenovo prebuilt. I kept the AMD Ryzen 7 4750G CPU, swapped in 4x 8GB RAM, and fitted an Asus Prime B450m-A II (BIOS already updated). The new setup includes an EVGA 80-bronze 750W fully modular PSU, a Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000 GPU, and a Hyper X Evo 212 cooler. I installed 256GB M.2 storage, upgraded to a Be Quiet case. Steps were: removing the motherboard from packaging, aligning CPU carefully, securing it with clips, adding the fan, thermal paste, cooler, RAM (with clicks), M.2 drive, reattaching standoffs, mounting the PSU, connecting cables, routing power lines, installing fans, swapping monitors for HDMI/DisplayPort, and finally flashing BIOS. After each stage I double-checked connections. No display appeared at any point. I removed RAM without a second stick, no display either. I’m unsure what went wrong—maybe the CPU failed? I’ve built computers since age 15; this feels like a last resort. I considered swapping parts but thought it’d be too complicated. I’m open to suggestions and plan to bring it to a nearby shop for testing.

I notice your list lacks attempts to link with integrated graphics via the M.2 slot rather than the GPU. You might want to explore that option. Also, check the number of HDMI and DP ports available on your GPU—experimenting with different configurations could help.

I used integration when I left out all components except the CPU and one stick of RAM. There’s just a single port on the motherboard for it… but yes… no display detected.

Checked every port on the Quadro as well. Does your motherboard feature small LEDs showing error information for the CPU, VGA, and RAM? The red one that remains illuminated indicates the component experiencing issues...

I didn’t choose the high-end motherboard... I wanted something that wouldn’t trigger any alarms since I didn’t plug in a random button from the original case. I’ve experimented with different ports for the quadro, and all three worked perfectly. It’s hard to say it’s the quadro itself, but I think I’ll figure it out tomorrow. My guess is the CPU might be the issue—it feels odd because there were no bent or missing pins.

It shows two outputs on your motherboard—VGA and DVI.

Yes, the three additional GPUs functioned correctly.

I set up three RTX 5000 graphics cards across various systems and upgraded the power supplies to match their needs. One required a case modification since the existing one was too small. I removed the motherboard to avoid needing to consult Lenovo guides for connections. I think I could revert back to that setup if it functions, as the current configuration seems fine. I can't test VGA or DVI on my monitors here, but I'm pretty sure the problem isn’t there.

Someone questioned it, or it showed up in searches. I checked the computer shop to test the CPU on their bench—it didn’t work. We swapped it out with another model and it worked perfectly. After that, we reinstalled the original CPU, and it also functioned well. It seems Lenovo recently began locking CPUs to motherboards for extra security, as reported on ServetheHome.
