I don't know if there are ongoing AMD performance problems with CS:GO, but your Sapphire R9 390 is a solid GPU for the game. Make sure you check the latest community updates before playing.

Back then during Operation: Wildfire there was an issue causing the frames to fail. It’s hard to believe how much Deagle had to deal with it.

At first the game didn't work well on my AMD system, but after a while it stopped crashing every half hour. I played a few sessions and it finally ran smoothly. It's now stable and ready to play.

I encountered problems with my 380 model, possibly a black screen, but the newest crimson patch resolved it and it works now.

I'm excited to boost the Sapphire R9 390 once it's ready. It's going to be really impressive!

It seems you're questioning whether an overclocking attempt is necessary—your processor might already handle everything in CS:GO.
