I'm working on configuring DeepinOS 20.6 with dual booting, but after setup it doesn't detect any wireless networks. The ASUS PCE-AC88 receiver isn’t showing up in the settings, and there’s no tab for wireless options. I’m unsure if a Broadcom driver is needed, or if another type is required. I tried using an image of lspc because I can’t get an Ethernet cable this far. Since I’m new to Linux setup, I’m hoping someone can help me get it running smoothly. Thanks, Dieter.

In my observations, Broadcom tends to be challenging to configure. At times you might require a distinct driver (b43 or broadcom-wl – see more details at https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Broadcom_wireless), and other times it resists enabling secure boot. Typically, installing the driver involves connecting via a wired connection.

It's a Debian-based distribution: https://www.deepin.org/en/, which is one of the more visually appealing options in my view, so I'm interested in giving it a try. I'll check it out and let you know what I find, thanks!

I discovered the answer on the French Ubuntu forums: https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.ph...007394&p=2. Since my router is too distant, I installed bless and binwalk by linking an Ethernet cable from my laptop to my desktop and sharing the internet. Now my WiFi functions perfectly (I'm writing this on my Linux install). Edit: if you need a translation, just let me know and I'll update the post with a translation—Google Translate should work fine.
