Hello, I just completed assembling my first PC yesterday, but I’m having trouble getting the HDD or SSD to appear in the BIOS for Windows installation. I’ve used both SATA connectors it came with and multiple power connectors from the PSU. I also tested various SATA ports without success. Everything arrived brand new, I was careful with static protection, and I consistently see the same error message when prompted to choose a driver—“No signed drivers were found.” The BIOS also reports “Not Present” for every SATA port and M.2 slot. I noticed my motherboard is an older version, but updating the software didn’t help. Here’s my configuration: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/d3Rj7T

Have you tested another SATA connection? Is the USB drive at least recognized? Could we capture an image?

I've checked SATA ports 1 through 5 and the PSU ports 1 and 2. USB works fine. I also see spinning up or booting from the HDD during startup. I've taken some photos, please let me know if they assist.

I have since tried SATA ports 6-8 and the last SATA PSU port 3 with no detections. There is a second m.2 slot I haven't tried yet for the SSD. Took a picture of my HDD, there's a third insert that I don't seem to have a wire for.

Changed the BIOS settings to remove EUFI. After the upgrade, only USB and the DVD drive appeared.

Review the documentation for your M.2 installation. Verify which SATA ports are restricted. It’s possible the UEFI/Bios version needs updating.

I've experienced some progress this evening. After checking the manual, I realized my M.2 was placed incorrectly. Once corrected, it appeared in the UEFI and enabled the installation of Windows. However, the hard drive remains undetected—still not showing in "My PC" or Disk Management for partition creation. It might be a doa drive. I haven't tested all SATA ports yet. Time is running short, so I'll attempt ports 2 through 8 tomorrow morning.

A few SATA connections may be restricted by the m.2 device, so verify your setup. Good luck!
