While using my i7 6700k provided solid speed improvements through overclocking and faster RAM, I found myself needing to lower the processor speed occasionally to maintain stability during extended sessions.

Your goal is 60 frames per second, and you're hitting that rate already. If you still need more frames to reach your expectations, boosting performance through overclocking is the way to go.

CPU and motherboard combo includes FX 8120,i7 6700K, Xeon 2640 V3 with Asrock 990FX Extreme 3. RAM options are Asus Maximus VIII Formula and G.Skill Ripjaws V 3200 MHz. GPU choices feature Corsair Dominator Platinum 2666MHz CL15 and Sapphire HD 7870. Display selections are Asus R9 390 Strix, Asus 1660 Ti Strix OC in NZXT Phantom 820. Power supply is CoolerMaster V850, monitor options include EVGA 1000 G2 and LG 25UM58-P with Noctua NH-D15 cooling. Keyboard recommended is CM Hyper 212 RGB with Corsair K95 Platinum MX Brown, and mouse is Steelseries Sensei 310 running Windows 10 Pro.

Hyper 212 at 6700K will perform based on cooling efficiency. Expect some speed improvements, though bottlenecks remain significant. Pairing it with an R9 390 and a Ryzen 2600/3600 could unlock impressive frame rates—time to consider upgrading. Overclocking won’t make the card great; only minor gains here.

Rejecting Hyperx on X99 MoBo at 6700K is D-15. Upgrading to 2600/3600 isn't necessary since current games still run smoothly under 4C/8T, or my assessment is off.
