I recently replaced my Core i3 2120 with a Xeon E3-1220 v2, but I'm facing issues with post or booting. I've tested various GPUs without success. My motherboard beeps normally when it works, so I'm not sure what's causing the problem.

Examine the beep codes to recognize your specific pattern. These can sometimes assist in diagnosing issues.

Check if your motherboard's BIOS is current; newer V2 CPUs often require a BIOS upgrade for compatibility with older systems.

The Intel DQ67OW works with Sandy Bridge, just like your i3 2120, while the Xeon v2 uses Ivy Bridge. A firmware upgrade might help resolve this issue.

It might have been what I was trying to address with the BIOS update. However, if a fix existed in a BIOS update, the V2 chips should appear on the supported list, right? Probably not worth checking unless it could help.

You followed the manufacturer's instructions to access the BIOS setup, typically via a physical or virtual keypress during boot.
