I’m facing a problem with my latest build not starting up. I assembled the PC using parts from past projects, all tested beforehand. Now my RAM and USB devices aren’t showing up. I’ve tried every troubleshooting method possible and still can’t get it to boot. The only recent addition was a new GPU I bought just for checking out the 40-series model. Here are the specs: Intel i7 4780K, ASUS Z590-A motherboard, PNY 8GB RAM, RTX 4060, 16GB DDR4, 700W power supply.
First of all, the i7 4780k isn't available—perhaps you meant the i7 4790k? It doesn't support DDR4, but it does support DDR3 as shown here: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...0-ghz.html
Thirdly, the Z590 chipset is compatible with 10th and 11th generation Intel CPUs, not the 4th generation models. It seems this setup won't be viable for a while unless you replace the CPU.
Thank you for your help. I plan to collect a new CPU chip. The motherboard light was green, which usually indicates everything is working fine. Sorry for the quick gesture and thank you for your support.
