No Bluetooth - Asus TUF B550-Plus WiFi II
No Bluetooth - Asus TUF B550-Plus WiFi II
Hello everyone, I'm facing some problems with my recent PC setup. I assembled a new machine using an Asus TUF B550-Plus WiFi II Ryzen 9 5900X MSI Gaming 2080 Ti NVMe with Windows 10. After booting it up, Bluetooth isn't functioning properly. Here are the issues I've encountered:
- Connecting to a known device shows the message: "That didn't work, make sure your device is still discoverable"
- Removing a previously paired device displays "Removing" followed by "Remove failed"
- Searching for new devices takes an infinite time and returns nothing
- Tested with three different Bluetooth gadgets, none were detected
I've tried several fixes without success:
- Disconnected the PSU, held the power button for 30 seconds, waited an hour, then restarted
- Removed Bluetooth drivers and rebooted the system
- Reinstalled drivers from ASUS support site
- Installed Intel AX200 drivers from Intel's page
- Updated BIOS to the latest version
- Performed a clean Windows 10 installation on a new NVMe drive
- Swapped in a replacement motherboard of the same model
Despite these efforts, Bluetooth remains non-functional. The adapter appears in Device Manager, but no working drivers are detected. Any advice or alternative solutions would be greatly appreciated.
BT appears to function but isn't detecting anything. Have you linked the antennas? It's unclear if they're required for BT operation. This message asks what "Trying to remove a previously paired device" meant before. You might need to set your BT devices in a specific mode to be recognized. Edited July 15, 2025 by leclod
Thank you for your response! Bluetooth appears in the device manager and can be turned on via settings, but it doesn’t detect new devices or reconnect to already paired ones. The Wi-Fi antennas are working properly. I was trying to connect to or remove a device that was previously paired with the old PC, yet it still shows up in the Bluetooth list after switching the system drive to the new computer. All Bluetooth devices were set to pairing mode, and we also attempted to place them near the motherboard or antenna for better connection.
Used a Gigabyte B550 Eagle WiFi6 with Bluetooth after automatic installation. Issue resolved quickly. Likely a design or quality control problem.
