Tomb Raider is now available for free. I installed it and it started working immediately. The opening scene played with sound, but once the game launched, audio disappeared entirely. What troubleshooting steps should I take? Operating system: Ubuntu 19.10, hardware: Vega 64 with newest drivers. Download the installer and try it: https://store.steampowered.com/app/203160/Tomb_Raider/

This might be due to various factors since you're using Linux. Have you verified all audio-related configurations?

Voices function properly across all other applications. For instance, YouTube was playing in the background during testing, and only it produced sound. In game settings, the volume is set to the highest level for all audio.

Quote what you said or else I won’t get a notification when you reply. Did you adjust Tomb Raider to the right settings? Some distributions let you assign different devices to various applications.

I also used two distinct outputs, and both functioned properly during the opening scenes before I took control of the character.

Possible issue with the Linux version on Linux—have you tried using Windows? If so, double-check your setup.

Start testing inside your Win10 VM first, then switch back to your original system.

It seems like you're confirming functionality in a virtual environment. Let me know how I can assist further!

I managed to fix part of the issue... Testing with a headset confirmed everything works. Sounds are functioning properly. The issue seemed related to audio output.

Check many Linux ports for problems. Tomb Raider may face similar issues. Use Proton with RADV_PERFTEST=aco %command% to test launch options.
