I bought a refurbished motherboard online to repurposed some guts I found in my boss's garage and it didn't come with any accessories, including the antennas for the wireless com. I can't actually put it together to try it out until Monday, so if I have to order a component, i'd rather do it now. The router is on the opposite side of an interior wall (literally 6 inch back and 24 inch upward), so distance isn't really a problem as long as wifi on a motherboard can function with just the bare port. The question is, can it function without the antennas or is there some sort of circuit that needs completed by that part of the hardware?
