With an ASROC A320M-DGS and your Ryzen 5 1600, it should run fine without needing a BIOS update.

Iffy. The 1600 AF is a Pinnacle Ridge CPU that doesn't come out of the box. Avoid getting an A320 board—they're not worth it, even without overclocking.

That's why I said it was "iffy", instead of just claiming that it would definitely work like you. They're garbage for the price. They cost about the same as B350/B450 boards, but have fewer features and support. There's no reason to buy them. I'll list a few. No overclocking Fewer PCIe lanes Less support BIOS often can't be updated without losing support for older generations (also a problem on some B boards though) If you want to actually look into it there are plenty of threads on the issue.

I've tested it, but it didn't function. I also tried a Ryzen 3 1200 without success.
