You probably had a chance to get a similar board or another one at a better price during your wait. Don't purchase something you can't use immediately, particularly in technology. I truly wish you luck with the board, but be cautious moving forward. There are too many risks involved. The PC wouldn't start without the CPU for safety reasons—those pins in the socket would power up by default. The BIOS flashback function only loads essential parts to refresh the BIOS.

Purchasing a motherboard a year ago doesn't lower the price of the CPU. It only increases the chance of facing no solution unless you upgrade to a different model, which would cost more.

Waiting a year actually lowered the price compared to the used market, though it carried risks when purchasing too soon. The speaker had planned to buy an AM5 CPU about a year prior, but unexpected events changed things.
