It’s unlikely a network admin can access your cell phone texts while connected to Wi-Fi. The chances are very low due to security measures in place. If they truly wanted to, it would require bypassing multiple layers of protection, which is technically difficult and usually not feasible.

Using regular SMS texts and a phone that supports WiFi makes reading messages easy. Adding multimedia requires some effort but remains manageable. SMS isn't very secure, which is why Apple and Google are encouraging users to switch to newer, safer messaging services.

It seems quite simple. Messages can be sent through Samsung's chat feature, which works on both devices. It’s likely a basic web-based interface for users.

It's quite simple, just straightforward. It varies based on the specific app and whether it employs regular SMS or a more secure method that only labels messages as SMS. The admin would need to actively check them unless you're in a specialized setting like a classified operation.

With Verizon, their Wi-Fi calling and texting always use a VPN, making interception nearly unfeasible.

It’s the usual text messaging feature on Samsung Galaxy using Android. It’s not a secure setting, but a sales firm is focused on protecting customer data. They keep a close eye on computers and it makes me think they’d try to intercept messages if possible. This could be a risk if my phone connects to Wi-Fi—whether I’m sending regular texts or using the Samsung chat system. It’s not about breaking the law, but about safeguarding privacy. My partner’s boss’s wife is involved in an affair with me, and we often have private conversations that shouldn’t be overheard. They already took action, but I want to know how to stay safe moving forward. A VPN might help, though it may not fully prevent tracking. Thanks for your advice.

They only notice the VPN itself, not the data flowing through it.

VPNs would in fact solve it but there's a good chance they have them blocked, I know I would if I was their IT. The obvious solution is stop having said conversations while at work.
