Depends on whether you m.2 is attached to the cpu or the chipset. If chipset, no. Need to know what video card you’ve got though to know if it’s even an issue. If you video card does pcie4, then the 8x won’t matter at all. Nvidia amphere is pcie3 only though.

It's a common mix-up. Ampere isn't PCI-E 3; it corresponds to PCI-E 4.

You're all set—your main port will always receive full x16 bandwidth no matter what other ports are in use. There aren't enough slots or connections available on your board to cause any issues. The top M.2 slot uses four CPU lanes and the bottom uses four from the chipset. Because any CPU you can fit will have 20 PCIe lanes, it can handle both the top slot and the full x16 main slot with complete speed. The chipset also offers eight lanes, but only six are available from your board (the two x1 slots plus the lower x4 M.2), so no restrictions there. Data seems inconsistent. I believed amphere was limited to PCIe 3, but it can definitely support a 3090 Ti and even a 4090. Most units would work, though. I recall someone stating amphere was only for PCIe 3, but the message might have been misinterpreted.

This affects some budget AMD boards—those with x16 connectors will function properly only if they use PCIe 4.0, but not PCIe 3.0 due to bandwidth limits. If AMOPA offers PCIe 4.0 support, they’ll work with x8 as well, provided it’s PCIe 4.0. It seems this issue may become more discussed when cheaper new-gen boards drop, since AMD continues releasing chipsets that are PCIe 3.0 only. I’m also curious about how many motherboards have x16 slots but only eight lanes connected—believed to be less common than thought.
