Hey! I went to a local It-shop to diagnose my computer because it would not post and had no signal. They said that the motherboards vrm is broken and USB 3.2 Gen 1 header has shorted(i broke it accidentaly). They said that the USB 3.2 Gen 1 header could have been the cause but they don’t know it for sure Is this true as i have a hard time to believe it?
He damaged the motherboard because he was using his computer to power his inexpensive nail tools, which is definitely a risk.
The shortened header might trigger PSU safeguards (well done), though this isn’t connected to the CPU VRM. Removing the header or isolating the damaged pins would prevent the protection from activating.
