Hi, The prices of these CPU (in PLN, but only relative price matters), including some others for reference : 3700X -> 1450 5600X -> 1500 3800X -> 1650 3900X -> 2100 5800X -> 2300 There is a clear contest between 3700X and 5600X and 3900X and 5800X. Given that the 5800X is almost 50% more expensive than 3700X is it worth considering at all (given the value/performance, or even raw performance)? I'm gonna use this CPU to play games with heavy CPU utilization - Civilization VI (decent multi-core scaling), Factorio (single core matters most) and TotalWar. In Civilization and TotalWar the most important thing is total end-turn completion time. I have a feeling that 3900X is gonna be a better choice than 5800X

Not intended for gaming purposes. Consider the overall project cost; the CPU could be 50% pricier alone, yet a 4000 PLN build only sees a 21% rise. The 5600X may offer better value.

I'm also considering other areas beyond gaming, and I plan to create an additional PC for serious CPU tasks.

Expect used models of the 3000 to appear as upgrades become more common, and a 3950x might be available at a decent price if the 5000 series continues to roll out.
