I just started using VR for the first time and it was amazing. Since it’s near my birthday, I decided to get a VR headset. Before that, I checked if my PC could handle it. I have an Intel Xeon 1240v3 and an RX 570 with 8GB RAM.

Your CPU will work well if you stick to VR with background tasks turned off. It can handle more workloads, but VR still has the worst performance in the lowest 1%. Keeping your system fresh is ideal. Your GPU, on the other hand, is a definite no—consider upgrading it before the CPU because you might gain a year or two of longevity from the CPU if you only run VR inside it.

4 cores and 4 threads work well for VR; single-threaded performance shines. Your processor matches an i7 4770K, which I previously ran with my HTC Vive, so you can expect solid results. I also tested a GTX 970, comparable to your RX 570, which performed nicely too.

The CPU should work adequately. A minimum of four cores is recommended for modern gaming, though other factors also play a role. Single-core speed is equally important.
