I've assembled my initial PC and it feels great to have so much control over gaming and performance. The main issue is that my GTX 1070 8GB hasn't arrived yet—probably another few weeks, given the order date of July 1st. In the meantime, I'm using an older Radeon 7850 1GB until the new one comes. Playing Morrowind was a bit disappointing; it feels outdated for my tastes. Modding it could be fun, but if I start now, will 1GB suffice for a 2017 modlist or should I wait for the 1070?

If it doesn't work well, pause and wait for the 1070

I ran Morrowind smoothly on my 512MB Quadro 410, which handled the GTX 650 well. The only changes I made were adjusting it for 1080p playback.

Yes, there have been users keeping it updated. You might encounter older visuals initially, but upgrading RAM or resources can improve performance and add some refinements.

Sure, the game actually looks pretty good for its age, though the animations might feel a bit choppy. I don’t mind that much. The main problems are with some gameplay features like the combat system, which I’d really like to see modified. I tend to turn small projects into bigger ones without much thought.

The reason for my failure was the speed of the movement. I turned to console commands to try and resolve it as much as possible, since I didn’t want to waste time modifying the fixes. It eliminated the Baywatch running effect.

It should function. His cousin's old AMD card has 1GB of VRAM and more than 200 mods, though it occasionally crashes—likely due to a poor sequence of installations.
