I've been working on overclocking my recent parts and finally checked the CPU. It performs well without any tweaks, yet during a stress test it reached 100°C in Prime95. This happened when no components were overclocked and the CPU ran at 5GHz turbo. Is this normal for this chip or did I have issues with thermal paste or something else? It handles benchmarks okay and stays cool when idle (30-40°C). Someone else thinks it would be different with water cooling? The motherboard is a Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX ATX LGA1700, BIOS version FHc. The CPU is an Intel Core i9-14900KF, cooling with Noctua NH-D15, two fans, and the RAM is G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 32GB DDR5-7200 CL34.
