Which optane storage option are you considering? Intel has stopped offering consumer-grade optane drives, so the m.2 models are essentially regular NVMe SSDs. They should function fine, but you likely won’t feel a performance boost. A 112GB capacity is quite small for such a device.

I own a 16GB Optane drive functioning as a standard M.2 SSD. There are also Optane DIMMs available, though they serve a different purpose.
