I recall from totalbiscuit's video that the initial release had significant issues, crashing frequently and not displaying at native quality. There are reported fixes that address the resolution problem, but they seem to be more complex than simple workarounds like dsfix in Dark Souls. As for stability, the game appears to be more consistent on PC now, though occasional crashes still occur. MP is generally necessary to unlock all endings, and some sources confirm that certain endings require it. My preference leans toward PC unless the port remains unstable, which would push me toward PS4. I usually choose PC by default, but if MP is essential for a complete experience, I’d opt for PC instead.

It's hard to keep up with Bayonetta before the prologue, but that's supposed to be the best part!

According to a friend's opinion, it remains a "shitty port." It demands excessive resources and fails to generate visual outputs from those resources.

I didn’t buy it. I was excited about the game, but I don’t back poor ports.

Yup, still bad. 20mins in, the game froze twice and my 980 Ti just barely made it for 1080p60 with 4xMSAA.

According to common reports, the console struggles to maintain consistent frame rates on PS4. Could a PC offer a smoother experience?

Adjust settings to remove anti-aliasing and enable AO. This method works well at reducing jagged edges using FXAA. For further details, refer to the linked guide. The FAR mod is straightforward to install. Unfortunately, recent controversy over piracy led the creator to add protections. You can still obtain it from GitHub, though the Steam forum discussion has been removed. The developer maintains a Steam group where you can find updated threads after downloading. Using this setup helped me achieve smooth 1440p60 gameplay on my 1070 MP without needing high frame rates or perfect endings. It simply leaves a visual marker for others when you lose, similar to Dark Souls.

The FAR mod is straightforward to use. Just launch the .exe to install, and you're ready to go. Adjust settings by pressing SHIFT+CONTROL+BACKSPACE, which opens a menu for customization. To toggle on-screen stats, use SHIFT+CONTROL+O. The port works without crashes, and performance remains stable, though playtime is limited to around four hours. Important cutscenes are pre-recorded but slow down during play—this is unusual for pre-recorded content. There have been no recent patches for PC, and the latest update on Steam mentioned awareness of some issues that are still under review.

I remember TB mentioned a few problems with the game in his video, but he treated it kindly. I installed FAR and ReShade right after purchasing it, and everything worked well ever since. I haven’t seen any crashes during my 76 hours of play. It surprises me how much dislike it has received on PC. If only every port faced such criticism. The game’s multiplayer feature, as far as I understand it, is viewing and interacting with the remains of players at their death locations. I don’t believe there’s any cooperative or competitive mode, and I can’t recall an ending involving player corpses.
