Check if your switch enables LACP and has a backplane supporting over 1Gbps. How many devices are connected simultaneously? Are SSD caches in use? What RAID configuration do you have, and are all drives SATA III at 7200 RPM or are there slower options?

Thanks, I appreciate the understanding. I’m not sure about publishing my configuration publicly and I’m avoiding teaming discussions. It’s been a bit confusing about the bonding driver setup I keep seeing in searches.

Be mindful that teaming or bonding won't boost your network speed for single-threaded tasks. I wouldn't want you investing time without seeing real gains.

The impact of an SSD cache on a RAID setup can vary, but using a relatively new 60GB SSD might help improve performance. Since your device has only seen limited use recently and hasn't been heavily stressed, it could still provide some benefits. However, the age and SMART status matter—consider whether it’s reliable enough for caching before deciding.
