Hello everyone, I recently assembled a PC using all the latest components and encountered an issue. It appears to power down unexpectedly, though fans continue to spin and the RGB remains active. I suspect the system is still running but losing connection to peripherals like the monitor, mouse, and keyboard. The red CPU indicator also activates on the motherboard when it powers off. Temperatures were normal. This problem occurs during gaming, web browsing, or when idle. The longest duration before shutdown was about an hour, while the shortest was around seven minutes. I brought it to a local technician who performed stress tests and confirmed everything functioned correctly during his visit—though he might have been lucky. It seems shutdowns can happen either quickly or after longer periods. Attempted fixes included reseating the CPU, re-plugging cables, disabling CMOS, updating BIOS, disabling fast startup, removing the GPU, and using a different monitor. I also swapped RAM to rule out that as a cause. Thanks for your help!

Eventually, it was discovered that the 24-pin ATX cable was defective. After replacing it, everything worked perfectly afterward.
