Newly assembled PC is working but there is no screen.
I built a 1 year old Bnew mobo and CPU using some of my previous PC components. When I attempted to power it up, the display failed to appear.
Components used: AMD A6 7400K, Asus QA68HM-K, G Skill Ripjaws V DDR3 x2, Palit GTX 750 Ti, Corsair VS450 PSU.
After turning it on, all fans activated (PSU and CPU), but the screen remains off. I removed the GPU and connected directly to the motherboard's graphics slot, but it still doesn't work.
I noticed during assembly that some CPU pins were slightly bent, but I fixed them and everything seems intact.
Note: upon opening the box, a few CPU pins appeared bent; I corrected them.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a motherboard speaker, which makes it hard to diagnose the issue.
Thanks for your help!
What hue does the label for the PSU display—amber/yellow or grey? If it’s amber/yellow, you should replace the PSU with a more dependable model. Unfortunately, I don’t have a motherboard speaker =/ so I’m not sure what the issue might be. You should obtain a POST speaker to confirm whether you’re receiving the correct beep codes for the platform. Regarding your memory, use a single stick of RAM. Speaking of RAM, please specify the model of the kit you’re using. Try to reset the CMOS after removing the discrete GPU, wait 30 minutes, then power it back on without the discrete GPU, and check if POST is achieved.
Hello, the motherboard speaker isn't producing any beeps. I've used a spare PSU (the one I'm using now) and also tried it with the same setup, but nothing happened. Also, changing just one stick of RAM and clearing CMOS didn't help. Any other suggestions? My RAM model is DD3-1600 CL9-9-9-24.
