I’m preparing a clean setup of Windows and want to remove just the OS from the SSD. I’m also curious about restoring data from an HDD without losing anything. Since this is my first time, I’m unsure about wiping the SSD properly—any advice would be appreciated.

Ensure a second division on the SSD that fits all your saving space. Transfer everything onto this division. After installation, when you start from the USB or disk with the Windows installer, remove only the OS partition and choose the other one.

To create a partition, follow the appropriate steps for your operating system. If you need detailed instructions, let me know your OS and I’ll guide you through it.
