Hello. The previous day, I increased my Wi-Fi speed from 30mbps to 70mbps, but it remains with the same provider. They mentioned it will take a full working day to apply the change. I’ve heard that under heavy usage, the adjustment can happen on the same day. However, I’m confused about why it takes a whole day instead of just a few hours or a short period. I’ll have to wait until Monday. Do they simply need to modify the speed for my location, or is there more to the process? Thanks for reading! I’m new to the forum and unsure if I set it up correctly.

You enhanced your online speed, not just your "wifi." They probably need only turn a button somewhere, but they’ll have a line of tasks to handle before yours and theirs want some quiet time on the weekend.

Certain ISPs link their platforms, which means when support adjusts your package or plan, bandwidth settings update automatically. Others may refresh at different intervals—some instantly, some periodically. Those without integration (like you seem to have) rely on manual updates, where customer service creates a ticket for engineers to fix the system, which then processes tickets in order from oldest to newest.
