I'm putting together a new PC with a Ryzen 9 9900x CPU and an MSI B850 gaming plus WiFi MB. I upgraded to a Thermal game 850 w G3 PU. It's been a long time since my last build, and it didn't have as many cables as this one. I'm wondering if I'm relying solely on the built-in graphics and whether I should use both 8 pin CPU and PCIe cables. Eventually, I upgraded to a high-end GPU card but don't need it anymore. Thanks!

When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's important to provide complete system details. List your specifications as follows:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
Include the age of the PSU along with its make and model. Also, note the current BIOS version for your motherboard.
My concern is whether I'm relying solely on the club's built-in graphics features—should I use both an 8-pin CPU and PCIe cables?
Club? Are you referring to a discrete GPU? If so, ensure all connections are secure and properly seated. If you lack the correct connectors or harnesses for your devices, it could mean:
1) The PSU isn't suitable for this setup
or
2) The components aren't compatible with your build.
Moved the thread from the Components section to the Systems section.

When your PSU provides both cables, utilize them.
