I just bought an Hp Omen and it's my first PC. I thought going pre-built with upgrade options would be the simplest way to start learning. My main use is for gaming, and it currently has these specs:
Nvidia Geforce Gtx 1650
AMD Ryzen 5 3500 6 core
16g DDR4

Would this setup be able to run most games like EFT and Rocket League without needing too many upgrades? Would an SSD be important? Any advice would be really helpful.
Also, I want to aim for a true 1080p experience. I’m not a professional, so I don’t need a high-end gaming rig.

ssd mainly improves load times, especially for games already running, but it offers little real benefit. don’t rush to buy one right now. the 1650 is a costly card, especially during Black Friday and holidays when many overpriced models appear. if you spend more than $800 on this machine, I’d consider it a waste. the rx 580 with 8gb could be sourced from prebuilt builds using the same parts for $750, which saves you $300 compared to the most expensive 1650 build. ram performance might suffer since some manufacturers cut costs, so check your task manager to see the MHz it’s actually running at. regarding games, they may struggle with 1080p due to GPU limitations, though rocket league could run smoothly at 100+ fps while red dead redemption 2 might only hit around 40 fps.

It would be good to verify the RAM speed is at least 3000MHz, otherwise consider it inadequate. For the OP, many agree this is important, particularly on tighter budgets—it's much better to build your own and use reliable recommendations for compatible parts. This PC should work now, but in a year it will likely be outdated and not worth investing in.
