This is years old news. I don't think the current Battlefront and previous battleront's are comparable. This is a reboot too... It was never meant to be the same as Battlefront 1 or 2

I really enjoy the character progression system. The previous method was linked to the exact match you were engaged in. You needed to unlock a new class with each game you played. Every session begins with identical three characters and three weapons. This approach isn’t very varied. The updated system is based on what you personally unlock for your profile. I decide which weapons and character features to unlock, then select the one that fits my preferred style. The vehicle mechanics feel more aligned with the new design. Previously, there was a 2-6 or 8 match depending on where vehicles spawned. You’d head there and jump in. Now there are 20 versus 20 matches. Players would gather at spawn points and wait for vehicles to appear. The new system creates more diversity. You locate the token in a specific area to join a vehicle, and that spot shifts too. This ensures flexibility—someone can be inside a vehicle, and who gets in changes. Also, if your character suddenly appears in a vehicle, it doesn’t quite match the Star Wars vibe. There are pilots or drivers dedicated to each vehicle type, and deciding where to place ships like an X-wing or a Tie Fighter adds another layer. This is why the token system exists so characters can arrive from various locations.

Star Wars 1313 was initially envisioned as a third-person shooter similar to Dead Space or Uncharted. Although it might eventually become an FPS, its core concept remained distinct. I’m seeking a Half-Life or COD4 style experience—campaign or gameplay with an epic action focus and a compelling narrative. Additionally, I’d appreciate a Star Wars-inspired game, though we know that would be quite different. Of course, any Bioware project would lean toward RPG mechanics, which is fundamentally another genre. I also desire a singleplayer experience reminiscent of KOTOR or Dragon Age, with Elder Scrolls-like gameplay. I’d prefer scenarios involving Hangers or airbases for each faction—like the Empire’s field station and the Rebels’ hidden compound. Ideally, I’d like to physically board an X-Wing, go through a cinematic entry sequence, adjust controls, and immediately launch into flight. While that might be convenient for developers, it risks breaking immersion. This is largely irrelevant, though. I’m unlikely to invest in Battlefield without a strong, engaging singleplayer campaign. If they expand with a major DLC campaign, I might consider it. Otherwise, probably not.

I think it's logical considering how the game is designed. What I meant was that a vehicle system would suit the new game better. It would be great if there were an animation showing your character entering the ship, heading toward battle, and dressing appropriately if you spawn in the bunker where the ships are located.

I hope DICE maintains a game mode featuring command posts, conquest, and instant actions. That’s the only experience I’ve ever had.
