You have an old hard drive you're currently using. You plan to replace the motherboard, CPU, graphics card, and keep your Windows 8.1 Pro disk along with your code. Do you need a clean install? Can you restore Windows after reinstalling? What should you do?

You might also duplicate your previous hard drive to a fresh one. This isn't highly advised, though a clean installation remains preferable. I've utilized Macrium Reflect for cloning HDDs.
