New setup, CPU issues with Ez troubleshooting
I recently assembled my friend's new PC. It comes with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600, an RTX 2060 Super, 16 GB of Gel Superluce RGB RAM, a Corsair H115i Pro cooler, and a Corsair CX 550M power supply. When I tried to boot it, nothing appeared—lights came up, fans spun, and the GPU worked. The Ez troubleshooting light appeared on the motherboard for the CPU. The manual mentioned it was either not detected or failed. I double-checked all power cables and even tried booting RAM on a single stick, but nothing happened. I'm getting anxious because I’m not sure what to do. Can you help?

Do you recall the box mentioning "Ryzen 3000 ready"? If not, the board probably requires a BIOS update to work with your chip. The B450 line was designed for Zen+ or Ryzen 2000 series processors at first. Confirm?
Might be outdated information—consider asking a store to refresh the bios for you.
He planned to tamper with it when I wasn’t around and violated the top installation guideline. He applied too much thermal paste while trying to reattach it. Eventually, he got it stuck on the cooler and then it fell into the motherboard, causing paste to mix with the CPU pins and socket. We probably won’t have the fix for another ten days until replacements arrive.
It’s possible to restore it. I observed KIngpin submerging an entire motherboard in paste—without any parts attached—into a bucket of IPA, then removing it and drying it carefully. As long as the connections remain intact, cleaning with a non-conductive tool should work fine.
Well I put in the new parts and plugged a thumbdrive with the bios update on it and I'm still geting nothing. Literally no post at all. I just dont understand what it could be
