My build is around two weeks old now. I was using Windows 10 on older machines with SATA SSDs, so I kept it as a boot drive and switched my 1TB M.2 drive to games. It worked fine and I enjoyed playing Helldivers last night. Recently, I upgraded to Windows 11 and played Helldivers again but faced problems with the Adrenaline app freezing in the background. This seems to be a common issue but didn’t happen with Windows 10. Tonight my computer froze completely, tried to restart, and the white VGA light turned on. It didn’t boot at all until I held the power button down. After turning it back on, it started Windows normally—this occurred three times. I tried different fixes: removed the overclock/undervolt settings, did a clean install of Adrenaline, and updated the BIOS. Each time it worked. My temperatures stayed stable around 70°C CPU and 75°C GPU, which is normal under load. All updates are current, drivers are fresh, and BIOS was updated without CPU overclock, though SMART remains enabled. What could be causing this black screen? Possible culprits include a faulty PSU, GPU, or RAM. I still have time to bring parts back. You either have CSM disabled or there is a PSU issue, is what I would think. Or maybe both.
Thank you. I had to turn off CSM for Windows 11 installation. It’s currently running in UEFI. Should I re-enable it?
