Consider reverting to a previous version of AGESA or increase its settings further.

What are you asking about? Who is involved and what’s happening here?

You received this kit in a 4x16GB package. Inserting them and applying the XMP speed settings brought performance up to 16/18/18 gigabytes. It worked instantly. I also considered the G.Skill 4x16GB option, but I decided against it since I’d likely combine it with other kits later. Thanks for the recommendation!

Many folks would be surprised by the extensive trial and error involved in silicon manufacturing. I once had a friend who built satellites, worked with numerous circuits featuring built-in redundancy, and was extremely cautious about sourcing components. During a chat with a manufacturer, he mentioned the concern about defective parts like 1n4007s being discarded. The response was that they simply repackage them as 1n4006/7 for consumers—they remain superior to most market offerings, just not suitable for direct sales. ^^ Why does this story feel so tangled? ^^ I often think of it when discussing matched pairs, and imagine QA teams in Taiwan pairing DIMMs by color using complex test equipment, much like sorting socks into pairs while a complicated machine determines their matching.
