New RAM installation causes black screen when system restarts.
I purchased the R9 last month and am installing two new 8 gig RAM sticks that match the manufacturer's specs (Kingston Hyper X 2666MHz). I can install them, the system boots them in, and it tells me the RAM has been updated. I can play games, stream, and edit videos all day without issues. If I restart or turn it off, I power it back up but get a black screen with no keyboard or mouse response. I've tested all the different slots with each stick, and they work fine during restarts. The problem only appears once I have all four sticks together, after the second restart.
It looks like you're asking about accessing the bios information. Did you increase your storage capacity or swap out the existing one?
Thanks for the response. Cannot access BIOS, added extra storage. I’ve tested running the system with stock RAM (works) alongside new RAM (works), both together (works). Restarting results in no issues. System operates smoothly with just new memory, original memory, and a single power cycle when combined. Issue resolved—problem was with one stick being incorrect (2400).
