New PSU vs Old Mobo
New PSU vs Old Mobo
I'm moving my old Mobo from an Alienware x51 r2 into a new case and swapped it with a Corsair RM750e. I need advice on the board's connector since it doesn<|pad|>, and none of the PSU cables match what came with the new power supply. The photo shows the board and the area where the CPU power should be connected, in the top left corner. I'm hoping someone can help me avoid damaging the board.
Nope. Here's a pic. Mobo is from 2014, so it's definitely outdated.
You require the EPS 12v 8-pin connector, which is divided into 4-pin and 4-pin versions.
The split at the end on the left appears normal; no action is required.
It could fall off the front or stick together slightly, depending on the PSU.
I noticed the tiny buttons I had to press using tweezers. I think I’m ready now, so thanks to both of you for your assistance.
