I purchased the i9-12900k MSI, ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi, G.SKILL Ripjaws S5 Series 32GB bundle from Newegg recently. I paired it with a Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W power supply, a TEAMGROUP T-Force CARDEA A440 M.2 drive, an AIO cooler, and my older GTX 1060 video card (for now).

I performed a clean install of Windows 11 using an USB flash drive with the Windows Creation Tool, replacing the existing key. Everything functions well except for the activation issue during sleep. When the computer powers off, it loses its Windows activation. I can either run the activation troubleshooter or manually re-enter the key, which then shows as successful, but the next time it sleeps, it fails again.

A full hard reboot or turning it off and on keeps the activation intact, only during sleep does it disappear.

I also tried updating to the latest BIOS, but the result was the same.

Any suggestions?

I received my product key from a trusted source. The exact version of Windows 11, such as Home or Pro, is available upon request.

I won 11 Pro from Vip-scdkey.com. It seems like it might be greyware. My initial guess was a bad key, but since it doesn’t lose activation when turned off and only when sleeping, and it works again with the troubleshooter or by re-entering the key, I realized the issue probably lies elsewhere.

Right now, I plan to completely reinstall Windows, using a brand new download straight from Microsoft.
Do you think you've already completed all the SFC /scannow and DISM repairs?

It seems he might have succeeded. It appears the system verifies activation servers while asleep.
Could trying a different key resolve the issue? If it's about activation servers, Windows does random checks.

This likely received an OEM or bulk license key.
