New PC setup failed to power up.
Start with a fresh build using a B450 motherboard, RTX2060, dual 8G RAM DDR4 sticks, AMD 2600 max, and a 500W case. Followed a tutorial on YouTube. After turning it on, nothing happened. Removed the 24-pin power cable and reconnected it. The board lights came on briefly, but the GPU didn’t power up. I’ve checked everything—swapped RAM, tried no RAM, tested hard drive, performed power-on test with a paper clip, unplugged all PSU cables, and even removed the battery for 15 minutes. Still no success. I’m stuck and need guidance.
It seems you're connecting the power cable correctly, but turning off the power by shorting the pins for the power button. This will stop the device from operating until you restore power.
