You recently purchased a brand new PC with these specifications: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super, 32GB Adata XPG Spectrix DDR4, ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-A, Intel i9-10900k, 1TB SSD, and 1440p monitor. After running 3DMark, your graphics score is quite low while your CPU score remains strong. You’re experiencing under 10 FPS across all games, even when adjusting settings. You’ve reinstalled Windows 10, updated drivers, and changed graphics quality in games to prioritize performance. Despite these changes, the issue persists. Your monitor connects directly via DP, and you’ve tried disabling V-Sync without success. You also replaced display adapters without improvement. Comparing with your previous setup, you had better results. It seems there may be a hardware or driver problem. I’d recommend checking for firmware updates on your graphics card, testing with different drivers, and ensuring no background processes are affecting performance. Let me know if you need further guidance.

I haven't made any purchases, so I don't have a source to check.

Reviewing the 3D mark page suggests your integrated graphics are likely taking over from the GPU.

IBUYPOWER assembled the PC for me, as my friend recommended. I’m unsure how to resolve the issue. In Device Manager under Display Adapters it lists the RTX 2080 and Intel UHD Graphics 630. I removed and reinstalled them, then updated the drivers.

Usually this happens when your monitor is linked to the motherboard rather than the graphics card. Check the BIOS for any graphics-related settings and consider disabling the iGPU if possible.

Turn off the integrated GPU in your BIOS if possible, or make sure the PCI/PEG graphics are set as the main display.
