New PC build under £2000
Hey everyone, hope everything is okay.
The two PCs I've constructed (2013 and 2020) were made possible thanks to the support of people on this platform, which I really valued.
Lately I've been out of the loop regarding some ongoing issues (like problems with Intel). So when a friend needed assistance with their very first PC build, I knew exactly where to direct them.
Their budget is around £2000, and they plan to start this week after taking time off work. They intend to use the PC for gaming, rendering videos/images, and certain CAD programs they rely on for work.
Usually I would choose Intel as the processor, but given the recent developments, I think AMD might be a better option now?
They’d like to keep Nvidia for the graphics card.
I previously shared a possible build idea, but wasn’t sure what would fit today. A 32GB RAM setup would be helpful, along with a 4060/4070 processor?
Any guidance on a suitable build would be really appreciated. If you need more details, just let me know.
Thanks!
Significantly stronger than what you anticipated—I think I’m onto something.
As with any setup meant for intensive use, I’ve added an external SSD for safety.
