New PC build, no screen for 2 days
New PC build, no screen for 2 days
Hi everyone!
I just completed a new PC build, installing Windows 11 Pro myself. After two days of use, I updated the OS and the computer shut down unexpectedly—no display appears afterward. When I power it on, the PSU fan runs for five seconds before stopping, even though the case fans and CPU are functioning properly. A technician diagnosed it as a motherboard failure and I sent it back; it arrived today. I reassembled everything and still encountered the same problems.
My build is: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/wW6LPJ
What should I do?
Thanks in advance.
Rams are positioned in slots A2 and B2? Eliminate the discrete GPU and check if POST occurs using the iGPU on the processor. Your motherboard features a Flash BIOS Button on the back; refer to this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTgArcUzwQ8 and try reviving the platform.
Rams in A2/B2 is achievable, though I attempted it with just one stick and it didn’t work. I watched the video before trying again, but nothing was shown.
Refer to page 52 of your manual for the most recent BIOS information for the board. Because you don’t have a screen, you’ll need to use the Updating BIOS with Flash BIOS Button. In short, just power the board on; no CPU or RAM required.
Some users reported similar problems on another forum—when powered on, the system would trigger a reset button and then function normally once restarted. Continuous shutdowns required rebooting to restore video output. The issue was resolved by updating the BIOS.
