I am looking to build a cheap second PC. i will be using Australian currency. This is a budget build.
Cannot decide whether it is better to get a Ryzen 5600G vs Ryzen Ryzen 7600
Ryzen 5600G = $189

Final notes. With the Ryzen 5600G and the B550 motherboard and other components the total is %566 AUD. I was hoping it would be closer to $500 AUD. Any suggestions? I can lower the total price by $20 by switching to the B450 motherboard. But not sure if there is a significant difference between the B450 and B550.
EDIT: I think i accidentally misclicked when i clicked on the create post button. Since it apepars this post is in the graphics card section? How do i change this?
Also, i accidentally forgot to add RAM.

EDIT 2: After checking the different cheapest Power Supply Units, i figured i could get a cheaper one. I could save approximately $20. Is it worth getting a PUS with a lower wattage jsut to save apporiximately $20 or less? Remember this is in Australian currency. *So basically reduce the price by approximately 20%-25% to get American currency).

It seems you're not expecting a dedicated GPU, so the 5600G offers better graphics performance. The B550 would be ideal to fully utilize the Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB and eventually install a dedicated GPU thanks to PCIe Gen 4. While the 7600x CPU is more powerful, it only supports basic graphics; you also have an A620 MB which is quite basic for its price. I don’t notice RAM mentioned—DDR5 is costly and mainly needed for the Ryzen 7000 series. In this situation, the main benefit of the Ryzen 7600(x) lies in its new platform, making future upgrades easier within the next 3-4 years as AM5 is expected to last longer. AMD is also planning a 8000 series APU with a much stronger GPU for the same socket, which could encourage adoption of the AM5 architecture.

Sorry. I missed some details before and adjusted after realizing I omitted the RAM. I’m still undecided on several parts. Mainly the CPU and Motherboard. The update should clarify this, but I’ll say it again.

I think this is what I’ll likely choose, though not completely sure yet.
5600G (since the Vega7 graphics seem better than the Radeon integrated ones).
B450M-A PRO MAX Motherboard (the main weak spot – the cheapest usually means easier replacement).
RAM: 1 x 16 GB DDR4 (it was the most affordable option for 16 gigabytes).
SSD: reduced from 1 terabyte to 500 gigabytes (this cut the overall cost by about $70).
Thermaltake Versa H18 MicroATX Mini Tower Case (almost the cheapest case available, with buttons facing down).
Gigabyte P-B 650 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (I’ve heard that you should never skimp on the power supply, as really cheap ones can cause problems. So I went with this one).
The total cost for all these parts is $505 in Australian currency.
Is there anything better you think of? Also thanks for your help.

Getting the 7000 series CPU would need DDR5? Not worth it for a budget build. For the new PC I’ll likely get a 7900 XTX and 64 gig RAM. But for this budget model, especially considering replacement costs if something breaks, it wouldn’t be worth it. That’s why I was thinking about the A620 motherboard. It would cost way less to replace if needed.
For the Ryzen 7000 series, a B650 motherboard would cost at least twice as much as the A620.
Also, I won’t upgrade this budget PC. It will be a backup system. The new one I plan to build after saving near the end of the year will probably cost me at least $4K (mostly due to the high GPU prices). So you can consider the new PC at the end of the year as the upgrade.
EDIT 2: Also, the B450 motherboard doesn’t need a BIOS update. That’s one reason it was chosen.

Initial choice must focus on platform, either AM4 or AM5. CPU and RAM are determined by this selection.

Power supply should be around 650W, but a 5600G system without a dedicated GPU typically needs no more than 400W. Adding "reserve power" (30-50%) offers advantages such as improved tolerance to power changes, enhanced stability, and greater reliability—so it's wise not to cut corners.
