New PC Build - Display Stays Black
I assembled a completely new PC using only fresh components, leaving the monitors out of the mix. Once I connected everything and turned it on, my screen remained blank—just a black display with no text. There were no messages, no BIOS prompts, and no beeps signaling any problem. The monitors and HDMI cables are functioning properly; I’ve tested them extensively and rely on them for work throughout the day.
I took out the GPU and used the built-in display on the motherboard, but the issue persisted. When power was applied, the fans started up, as did the motherboard lights and the mouse and keyboard indicators.
Based on my observations, it seems there might be a problem with the motherboard, CPU, or RAM. Since I don’t have any spare parts to test, I’m considering purchasing a cheaper motherboard and RAM to check if those are the culprits. Before investing more, I wanted to hear if anyone else has tried similar setups or suggestions.
Specifically, looking at the motherboard specifications, it lists RAM compatibility details in A-XMP OC mode. The RAM I purchased fits this specification. From what I understand, enabling A-XMP OC mode requires it to be activated in the BIOS, which I can’t see since the monitor won’t turn on.
Could my problem be as simple as using a RAM stick from option 2 (JEDEC)?

Which BIOS version is installed on your motherboard? Check the labels around it.
If you can't confirm the BIOS version, please refer to:
https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe...MAHAWK.pdf
Your board features a Flash BIOS button on the back, use this along with instructions in your manual, starting on page 35.
Since your CPU doesn't have an integrated graphics card, you'll need a separate discrete GPU.
Don't forget to specify the type of power supply unit you're using. If it's a refurbished model, note its age.
