You can indeed install an M.2 SSD directly and run Windows from it without needing a USB stick. Just boot from the SSD and set up the BIOS accordingly.

Transferred to Windows *** You're still dealing with the same issues with another device. For OS installation, you must use a different drive. A bootable partition on the internal drive works if you're looking for some extra challenge, but it still requires another bootable setup. You also have the choice to transfer your current installation, which you can do by launching the migration tool.
