New Memory is not posting with D.O.C.P. 3200, while the older memory is...
So, riddle me this...I just bought some G.Skill Trident Z rgb to add some more flair to my computer. My current memory are the same exact sticks, just not rgb. DDR4, 3200 speed, the like. However, when I took out those sticks and I put in the rgb ones, my computer went into a boot loop. When I eventually got into the OS, my sticks were running at default speeds. I restarted, went into the bios and activated the same oc settings that were on my old ram sticks, and the pc went into another continuous boot loop. And after manually shutting down the computer and turning it on again....a thousand times...I was able to boot up again. Only for the sticks to be back at standard settings. I repeated this process about 3 times before I said screw it and just installed my old ram sticks at the same D.O.C.P. settings. Works perfectly. Can ANYONE tell me how this is?? Are they bad sticks? They were securely in the MB so idk how it caused my pc to freak like that. PC specs: Ryzen 2700x ASUS RoG Strix B450-I RTX 2070 G.Skill trident z 3200 16-18-18-32 (old and new sticks, the only difference is the rgb)
Could the issue be related to the computer updating its RAM? I’m not an expert, but I’ve heard that similar problems can occur during new RAM installation. It might help to let the system complete its tasks naturally and give it a few minutes—like 5 to 10—before checking if everything functions properly.
I've revised the bios and submitted the updated version. Let me know if you need further adjustments!
It's frustrating. I'm not sure how to handle this situation. Perhaps another person in the group has some advice.
