Hello everyone, as someone who has enjoyed Halo for years, I’m putting together a brief reminder for all of you. If you’re unfamiliar with Halo Online, it’s expected to become a free-to-play shooter built on the Halo 3 framework but featuring gameplay from Halo 4. More details are available on 343 here: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/commu...-in-russia. In short, there’s a Russian-only closed beta that will soon be accessible, but the game has been leaked and a community of modders is working to fix it for everyone. Currently, you can download it illegally via torrents (we can’t share links due to rules) and have patches that support LAN play through programs like Evolve or Hamachi. With these changes, online multiplayer is now possible using virtual LANs. The game also supports full customization of keyboard settings and gamepad input. One downside is the persistent Aim Assist feature, which some players find bothersome, though modders are actively working to remove it. The map support reaches up to 90 degrees, and you can adjust the field of view via a command prompt if needed. Screenshots have been updated for clarity.

Halo Online is a free-to-play title developed by MS/343, with plans to launch in Russia through a closed beta. Some users on 4Chan shared the beta files, and a community of modders expanded its features, including LAN play recently. Halo Waypoint also has coverage: https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/commu...-in-russia

Getting ready now. Can't wait to dive into some Halo Online! (By the way, you're a big Halo enthusiast too.) P.S.: This game is really fun—just like when I first played Halo 3!

It seems the release was limited to Russia, which doesn’t seem logical.

I've been playing since its release back in 2001 when I was 5 years old! I got into multiplayer late in Halo 2, but I was there the whole way through for Halo 3. This brings back so many memories it is unbelievable. So I know you understand why I'm excited to share this with others I believe they wanted to test the waters, of all places Russia though, I have no idea. Honestly I don't even think the beta is released in Russia yet, I think it was leaked. Microsoft already sent a takedown notice to the modders and they told them to piss off. Now here we are a week later playing Halo online on PC. As said by one of the devs of the modding community; "This is an experience 8 years overdue." *Edit, Glad you like it! I've been jumping between slayer and other gametypes all day. Can't wait until they fix Infection, right now zombies can use guns, but can't pick guns up on the map. Other than that, it's pretty fun. Hopefully they can get game type customization working soon
