Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z790-Plus
CPU: Intel 14700K
GPU: GeForce RTX™ 4070 Ti SUPER 16G VENTUS 3X OC
RAM: 2x 16 GB Corsair ddr5 6400mhz
PSU: BeQuiet 1000W Platinum
OS: Windows 11 Pro
I assembled this system roughly a week ago and everything functioned normally until it stopped. I experienced frequent random screen freezes followed by crashes, regardless of activity—games or browsers alike. A DMP file is produced after waiting sufficiently long.

Spoiler:
Dmp File
DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION (133)
The DPC watchdog detected a prolonged run time at an IRQL of DISPATCH_LEVEL
or above.

Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000001, The system cumulatively spent an extended period at
DISPATCH_LEVEL or above.
Arg2: 0000000000001e00, The watchdog period (in ticks).
Arg3: fffff8001831d340, cast to nt!DPC_WATCHDOG_GLOBAL_TRIAGE_BLOCK, which holds
additional context about the timeout duration
Arg4: 0000000000000000

It might help to lower your RAM speed to 6000 and see if it improves stability.

I think it might have occurred when XMP was turned off. I tried lowering the RAM speed to 5400 but it froze again. Do you have any other ideas? Would you like me to focus on the most probable cause?

Because you're using an Intel 14700K with built-in graphics, you might try removing the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti to see if the instability persists. If it remains unstable, the issue likely lies with the power supply unit and its power delivery. Would you like me to suggest a PSU for testing?

What is the precise part number for the RAM?
Is the BIOS completely current?
Which specific model is it?

It's been over 11 hours without freezing or crashing on the CPU graphics. This suggests the issue might be with the PSU, GPU power cable, or the GPU itself. Should I return the GPU and wait for another one? I'll try to find another GPU power cable and test it as well.

Since the GPU is not connected to the PC, you might want to try using the DDU "display driver uninstaller" tool (suggested by Toms) to completely remove the nVidia drivers. After that, reinstall the GPU and drivers and check if it improves performance. Read their article here, though I haven’t used it before and can’t give a direct recommendation. Do some research...
