Gigabyte Z790 UD AX paired with Intel i7-13700K, iCue H170 RGB AIO Liquid CPU Cooler, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, Cooler Master MWE Gold V2 1050 watt. Also included Corsair. As mentioned, my PC would restart immediately when trying to open certain programs such as Discord. Occasionally, I can launch games and play for a while before encountering a blue screen. If I remain idle on the start screen, the system neither powers off nor restarts. After some research, it appeared the power supply unit was the issue. I downloaded OCCT to test the PSU. When I pressed "Start" on the PSU test, it would restart my computer. Because of this behavior, I replaced the 850 watt Corsair PSU with a 1050 watt CM series model, but the problem continued. I have tested two new PSUs, both identical, and still faced the same issue. All components are operating at very low temperatures.

Summary of errors and critical events observed:
- Frequent PC restarts upon launching specific applications.
- Game playability interrupted by blue screens.
- Idle state prevents shutdown or restart.
- PSU identified as potential cause after troubleshooting.
- OCCT testing confirmed PSU functionality.
- Kernel Power 41 error occurs during restarts.
- OCCT interface monitoring component temperatures in idle mode.
- In-game performance issues detected.

The main issue is the mounting for the Intel CPU causing uneven pressure, possibly leading to a bad mount and reset. This problem has been noticed by users who struggle with posting properly.

I'm checking if the mounting might be the problem. The GPU, CPU, and RAM tests are working properly, but the PC stops when I start the PSU stability test.

If your PSU is faulty, you're likely to experience a shutdown with a black screen and no BSOD or minidumps. This happens because the computer shuts down almost instantly when cut off from power. It suggests problems beyond just the PSU, possibly indicating the Corsair PSU was fine.

How did you set up your operating system? Did you download and install the newest motherboard drivers from the manufacturer's support site? Which BIOS version are you using? Have you updated the graphics drivers for your graphics card? Assuming this PC was built with recent components, or was it an upgrade of the motherboard, CPU, or RAM?

In the short term, this video appears to have provided a solution. I mainly used the GPU and one M.2 SSD. I installed Windows on a new M.2 SSD by switching Windows between drives with "Macrium Reflect" and then performing a fresh installation. This process might have been the cause of the issue, especially since the regedit fix helped.

The Corsair SSD seemed to be fine at the time. Observing the RGB lights and fans still operating during the crash made me doubt the PSU was the problem, but I became stuck in forum discussions about kernel power.

On request from a friend, I downloaded "WhoCrashed" which led me to Intelppm. I’m unsure of the effects of the changes I made in regedit compared to what the video showed. However, after following his steps, my PC no longer crashes immediately after starting the PSU stress test. At the 10-minute mark with full CPU and GPU load, temperatures were 47°C on the CPU and 70°C on the GPU.

If a sudden crash occurs again, I’ll continue posting about it in this thread.
