I just moved from a 2060 to a 3070. My PC keeps crashing during games like Moder Warfare or Cold War. I reinstalled drivers and reset the BIOS, but it still happens. The PSU seems to be the issue—my old GPU only needed 160W, while the RTX 3070 requires 220-240W. I'm using a Corsair VS650, and I thought 650W would suffice. My specs are an RTX 3070 i7 10700K, MSI MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS with 32 GB 3600Mhz DDR4 RAM, all from Corsair.

Rtx 3000 experiences power surges, likely stressing your PSU beyond safe thresholds. This could be worsened by an overclocked 10700k.

Which Corsair VS650 model do you own? The initial versions tend to perform poorly as PSUs, while the latest models offer better reliability. Essentially, what is the age of your power supply unit? Not just the poor performance of older units, but their gradual degradation over time. Do you have a tool to measure your PC's current power consumption?

It's quite an older model, dating back to around 2013-2014. Without modern metering features, you might need to rely on manual readings. If you're considering the CX650M, it could still work depending on your setup.

You should upgrade to a new PSU with at least 600W capacity, preferably around 650W for better future compatibility. Condersider might offer more options, but the RMx lineup from Corsair seems acceptable. Check the PSU tier list for recommendations.

Hey everyone. I’m facing the same problem in two different setups: 01) streaming anime on Crunchyroll – my PC just restarts without any blue screens, which feels odd but is actually happening. 02) when I launched Dauntless, anyone could confirm if this occurs too? I played Overwatch on ultra, Warzone with high graphics settings, Shadow of Tomb Raider, and GTA V in similar settings, and nothing happened. My hardware specs are: CPU Ryzen 5 5600X, GPU RTX 3070 Zotac Twin Edge, RAM DDR4 2x8GB at 2400MHz, PSU XPG Core Reactor 750W, motherboard with gold modular design, running Windows 10 PSU, CPU and GPU are brand new.

Have you checked your drivers yet? The 750W PSU seems fine, so maybe reinstalling them would help.

Hey everyone, I faced a similar problem with my 3070 Vison OC using Seasonic Prime 650W Gold and an 8700k 4.9Ghz. All the connectors on the PSU were placed close together (CPU and GPU), which likely led to PSU over-drain and random shutdowns. I moved the GPU connectors around on the PSU side, and since then it’s been working fine for about two days. It might help someone who’s facing the same issue.
