Hi there, I’m seeking some guidance on upgrading your graphics card. You’re currently using an old NVIDIA GTX 1050 and planning to switch to a GTX 4060. I want to confirm whether your setup will support it without running into performance issues. I’ve heard a GTX 3060 works fine on this system (it’s a borrowed unit), but I’m hoping the 4060 will be stable as long as it doesn’t become a bottleneck. Your current configuration: Mobo – Gigabyte H370 HD3 (BIOS F15), CPU – Intel i7-9700F, RAM – Corsair DDR4 2666 C16 (32GB), PSU – CoolerMaster 1000W, storage – 1TB NVMe SSD for Windows 11 and games. Games you play include Overwatch 2, World of Warcraft, Call of Duty (Battle Royale), Fortnite, plus some recent Final Fantasy and Resident Evil titles. Any advice? Thanks ahead!

Consider the 6700XT or 6750XT for improved performance and extra VRAM. They offer better graphics at around the same cost, delivering solid results even in 1440p. Plus, Starfield with Sapphire One is available for $330 on Newegg.

I recommend sticking with NVIDIA since you've encountered problems with AMD before. Appreciate your feedback.

I moved to AMD last year and have had a great time so far. I strongly endorse this choice, though the decision is ultimately yours.

Sold RX 3070 damages the 4060 due to similar pricing issues; could be a chance to find a decent offer on an older 3080 model.

I can't determine your hardware specifications, so I can't say for sure if the 4060 or 3080 will work.

Also look into models from the 3070 and 3080 series. With your 1000W power supply, you’ll stay equipped even after upgrading the CPU.

Your CPU might struggle with a 4060 if it's running at full capacity.

It's not about delays since your CPU can handle the 4060, but using a 3080 or higher might require limiting its speed, while you can't do that in reverse.
